The Cathedral of Cadiz is right in the center of the old town, surrounded by some cafes and restaurants. Directly opposite the main entrance, by the way, there is a very tasty ice cream. Currently, a small portion, which is about 2 1/2 German ice cream scoops, costs 2.50€ not cheap, but also not expensive for the location. At least that is my feeling. The cathedral is much smaller than I am used to from German cathedrals, but still impressive. That you see different colored stones at the cathedral has the background that during the construction of the money ran out, and after an interruption with cheaper stones was built further.

Die Kathedrale von Cadiz ist mitten im Zentrum der Altstadt, umgeben von einigen Cafés und Restaurants. Direkt gegenüber vom Haupteingang gibt es übrigens ein sehr leckeres Eis. Die Kathedrale ist wesentlich kleiner als ich es von deutschen Kathedralen gewohnt bin, aber dennoch beeindruckend. Dass man verschiedenfarbige Steine an der Kathedrale sieht hat den Hintergrund, dass während des Baus das Geld ausging, und nach einer Unterbrechung mit günstigeren Steinen weitergebaut wurde.
