Food Photography Challenge - Week 34 | Satay Padang
Hello Everyone, I am back again in Camping Club Steemit Weekly Contest
This week object is Sate Padang. Sate is Satay or Skewer, Padang is a place in Indonesia. Some people call it Padang, some call it Minang, both refers to the same place. So this is a Satay dish which comes from Padang region, or Minangese Satay.
Most satay in Indonesia is served with peanut sauce. Some are not using peanut sauce, but they use sweet soy sauce mix with chopped hot peppers. However Satay padang comes with a unique presentation, they are using a thick curry broth, which has a strong taste of chili, garlic and onion.
This is what commonly seen in Satay Padang presentation. Some satays with a rice cake, bathed in a thick curry sauce. And some fired shallots as the extra seasoning.
