Peak Musalà | CCS Contest Session | June Theme - "Beauty of Nature"steemCreated with Sketch.

in CCSlast year

Greetings the fellow people of Steemit and the CCS community i hope all of you had a prosperic day

The title of this contest is very subjective, because i could've posted a walk in the park, a photoshoot containing flowers and trees, but i decided to post my hike to the highest mountain peak in Bulgaria and the entire Balkan Peninsula where the altitude of this mighty mount is 2925.4 meters.

Before we begin consuming with our eyes the beauty of nature i have to note that i've put filters to bring more aesthetic look on the photos using the app from my phone called PS Express. I have to admit that i am proud of putting the filters especially on the first and the second photo you are going to see, because it literally looks like a windows desktop background with this particular filter. Also i want to note in order to enjoy the first and the second photo open it on different tab seperately or open the post from your phone, because i took it with my phone horizontally and i had to revert it, trust me you won't regret it. Anyway let's begin.

So this is the highest peak in our country Bulgaria and on the top of it is very beautiful and offers wonderful views of the rest of the mountain. I myself am proud i went there, because i consider myself a person created by the image of god, the creator, the grand architect, everybody has different beliefs and names on how to call him and the name of the peak has very divine meaning.

The peak's name is a holdover from the period of Ottoman administration. Some people think that the current name comes from the Arabic word "musalla," which means "the way to God" or "a place near God," "a place of prayer," or "prayer peak." Also the stone in the mosque where the deceased are laid to rest is also known as "Musallah." Others claim that the name derives from the Arabic word "musalat," which means "dominant" or "dominating."

Other than that, Mount Musala is located in the eastern part of the Rila Mountain and it is visited by many Bulgarian and foreign tourists. So here's the end of the post and i want to note a couple of more things, i put filters not to only make the photos more appealing to the viewers, but also because the photos although beautifull were taken years ago with my old phone which takes good pictures, but it's not like my current one. It's very weird how a couple of years ago the cameras on some phones looked phenomenal and now look very average compared to our current generation of phones. Anyway the phone i took the pictures is IPhone X and the filter i put to contribute to the photos is called Dappled existing on the app PS Express. Last note i know that the peak is around 3000 meteres high, but didn't know the exact height and also didn't know the many names that were considered for the meaning of the name of the peak, i only knew that the name means close to god so i used some additional info from Wiki to make the post more interesting and informative to the steemers so i will put a link for the people interested who want to learn more about it.
