Kakigori - a summer treat to beat the heat
Hi again dear Steemians. I am back for another food photography entry for this week. During summer season, we usually want and crave for something cold either it's a food or temperature. In Japan, a dessert which is suitable during the summer is can be bought in the streets while you're strolling around the area. It is Kakigori.
Kakigori is a Japanese shaved ice dessert flavored with syrup and a sweetener, often condensed milk. This is a classic summer treat in Japan. Kaki means "shaved" or "scraped" and gori means "ice", so that's where its name came from.
It tastes so good.
That's all.
Enjoy!
