MacroPhotography Challenge Week 17 || Metallic Green Salticidae

The jumping spider is one of the most popular types of spiders in the world. Jumping spiders can be found anywhere around us, whether in the forest, at home or in flower trees. This small insect-like animal has so many species with different sizes and different colors. Despite all the differences, each species of jumping spider is similar to each other both in shape and character. This insect is famous for having many eyes, each species has two pairs of big eyes facing forward.

These jumping spiders or salticidae "Cosmophasis", look like green jewels mixed with gold on the yellow-green hibiscus leaves. Usually Salticidae have a lot of hair all over their body, very different from this green Salticidae because it has no hair. Its body looks smooth and shiny with a metallic green color with a little black line on the upper body.

The two pairs of big eyes had extremely sharp eyesight. They can accurately spot their prey's position and then pounce on them suddenly. If usually spiders make web nests to trap prey, this is different from jumping spiders because these animals do not make web nests to ensnare prey but wander around to find prey. Salticidae have very agile movements. His body size does look small but has a very fast jump. Salticidae are very easy to disappear in leaves or shrubs because they have hiding skills. They are very quick to jump and crawl under the leaves if something threatens them.
