Would like to begin by thanking @steemdoctor1 for organizing this creative contest here. This is one topic that really got me thinking for days, and I’m excited I’ve been able to come up with something finally. Please sit tight as we go through this together.

PRIDE OR SELF-ESTEEM?

I believe this topic will be very suitable for everyone as it is a topic that applies to us. Here, steemians will have to know the differences between pride and self-esteem and be able to distinguish between them very well. There is a very confusing conception by so many about these topics, and so, having to carry out a research and give their take on it would help so many learn, I believe.

This is so because everybody should be able to distinguish between these two. It involves our life, and how we relate with people on daily basis. I have seen so many who are confused on how they carry themselves which sometimes lead to low self-esteem or pride. If a person does not have a good knowledge about who they are, they can be misled. Some, when told that they are proud are afraid and want to blend in with others so as to avoid criticism, but this can lead them to loss respect for themselves and others.

I think it will because here, participants will have to think deep about the disparities between these two topics and evaluate themselves as well. After assessing themselves and these concepts, they’d have a balance of what they truly are or want to become, and work with it. Creativity comes when one is curious about something and wants to find out about that thing, so I believe it will.

Again, it will help the participants to be firm on their ground if they don’t want their self-esteem to be low no matter what. And at the same time, try not to be proud. People could actually be unconsciously proud, and so studying what it really means to carry one’s self with grace and dignity should be differentiated with when pride sets in.
Having said this, my contest tips would be this:

1. Can you tell when someone is proud, or simply has self-esteem?
2. How do you one can be manipulated because of lack of self-esteem?
3. Do you know of someone who had low-self-esteem and the outcome of that? If yes, share with us.
4. What’s your advice to those who are confused about pride and self-esteem?
   This would be my contest tips, and I believe that with these few tips, participants should be creative in their thinking g while adding values to lives.

In summary, I believe this would make a nice contest idea for steemians to write on and learn from.
