Hey Steemian friends!

From 2017 I was into business and had so many ups, downs, and everything in between. One was hit a roadblock with the COVID and other one is getting promising. This is a subject I like to follow because it is subset of marketing which is a huge part of my career. However, with this topic, I secretly wonder whether the contest organizer has an assignment to submit on advertising 😉. Anyway, let’s see whether I can give some insight.

👉 What are the advantages of advertisement for the growth of the business?

Now advertisement is all about marketing right! I hope you guys heard this famous "4 Ps" concept in marketing and one of the P stands for Promotion, which includes advertising. This particular element is highly valued for the growth of a business because the success of your business often hinges on how much noise you make in the market and that will determine the volume or share you will get in the market.

So, let’s talk about the advantages,

1. Brand Recognition

   Advertising basically the primarily factor on creating awareness and interest, generating sales or leads, and building or maintaining a brand image.

2. Competitive Edge

   Stay ahead in the game by showcasing what makes you unique.

3. Customer Loyalty

   Keep your customers coming back for more with a sprinkle of charm.

4. Market Expansion

   Break into new territories and make your mark.

5. Trust Building

   Build trust by putting your business in the spotlight.

6. Sales Uplift

   Turn heads, turn leads, and turn those leads into sales.

👉 What are the most effective ways to advertise a business in your country to gather attention of people?

Now we can do advertising through various methods such as promotional activities through channels like print, television, radio, online platforms, and more. The effective way also depends on the target market. But in general, we are seeing a huge shift from traditional methods to online advertising, especially using FB and Insta. People are starting businesses from their homes do all the advertising on the FB page and simply emerge as online entrepreneurs.

For example, we are getting our lunch packets from a lady who cooks in the house. She doesn’t have a physical store but she is promoting her menu every day on her FB page and we thought we should try it. Likewise, jewelry, garments, plants, furniture and so many other businesses are getting attention that they never could reach from the traditional methods of advertising. Also, this method targets the exact customer base you want and it is relatively cheap and easy.

👉 Select any technology product of any company (it could be anything you want to present) and advertise it just like you are advertising your own company's product.

Okay, let’s take smartphones. Everybody needs them except me 😊 I will use simple strategies to make some noise in the market. Let's break it down,

• Captivating Imagery:
  My first strategy would be to show how amazing this product is. I will Showcase stunning photos, specifications, and happy customers who buy the product. Because let's be real, who reads anymore! beside a picture is worth a thousand words, right?

• Limited-Time Offers:
  Now, who doesn't love a good deal? I'd spice things up with limited-time offers. Spark interest by making customers sense they're getting an exclusive and irresistible offer. It's all about urgency, my friend.

• Client Testimonials:
  Time to let the customers do the talking. Happy customers become my brand ambassadors. Their testimonials become the melody of trust, and people are more likely to jump on the bandwagon when they hear others singing praises.

• Interactive Content:
  Keeping the audience engaged is the secret sauce. I'd throw in polls, quizzes, and Q&A sessions. Let the audience feel like they're a part of something bigger, not just buying a phone but joining a community. It's all about creating a connection.

So, there you have it, my simple recipe to make some noise in the phone market. I hope my imaginary phone company will be the next big thing in Sri Lanka.
