I hope you all are good and happy. First of all I want to give a good piece of advice to you all that Summer and heat are at their peak so take care yourself and you family. May Allah protect you all Ameen.

Today I want to talk about Armed Forces. This post will be very helpful for those who want to join Armed forces. And I personally want to give you a suggestion that our Country needs energetic and well mannered boys. So at least every boy should struggle to join them.

Gentlemen!

As everything happens in a cycle, Armed Forces also work in a cycle. First process is initial and then the second is Isssb.
Issb stands for Inter Service Select Board. It is the Final test for the candidate who want to join Armed forces. Issb is compulsory no matters if you want to join Army, Navy or Airforce. You should have to clear it before Training. In this post I will explain the overall selection procedure of Armed forces their eligibility criteria and their announcement dates.

ARMED FORCES

There are three types of Armed forces Army Navy and Airforce. All these offer candidate to join as commissioned officer.

ELIGIBLE CRITERIA

The Eligibility criteria is different from one another.

Army

. Height (163cm)
. Weight ( as per index)
. Qualification ( Ineter with minimum 55% marks)
. Age (17.5 to 22 years)

. Qualification (F.cs pre. Eng or ICs)Height ( 163cm)

. Qualification ( F.sc or Ics with minimum 60% marks)

So that was the Eligibility criteria for Armed forces. Each Of these forces has different tenure of vacancies announcement and training.

DATE OF VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT

Army

Army offers vacancies twice in a year.
April and October

Navy

Navy also offers vacancies twice in a year
November and May

Airforce

Airforce offers vacancies twice in a year same as Army and Navy

March and August

APPLICATION PROCESS

Candidates can apply in these forces through online on their respective websites as well as by hand in their selection and recruitment centers.
Each of these forces has their own selection procedure.

ARMY

After online application you receive an examination slip with a special date. On that date you have to reach on the selection center. You should have following documents
. Original CNIC
. Original matric Result Card
. Original matric Sand
. Original Inter Result Card
. Original Inter Sand
( In case you don't have Sanad Result Card will be applicable).
. Attested photocopies of Parent's CNIC.

After verification of your documents you are allowed to sit in examination hall where three types of tests are conducted.

. Intelligence test ( Verbal )
. Intelligence test ( Non. Verbal)
. Academic ( English, Maths, GK, Islamyat, Current Affairs)
These tests are taken through Computer so computer literacy is essential. In case of failure in any test you are considered fail and you lose your chance. After passing your test Examiner verify your slip and send to further process.

Next Medical is conducted

. Medically fit candidates are selected while unfit candidates are rejected.

After that Physical standard of candidates is tested.

Candidates have to pass running test of 1mile in 8 minutes.

20 push up
Ditch crossing.

After passing this test, an interview form is given to you. Next day you have to submit your interview form then the interview date is issued to you.

INTERVIEW

Initial Interview is the essential part and plays an important role in your selection. On issued date you are obliged to reach on selection center. Keep in mind the following suggestions
. Dress should be formal ( Pant Shirt and Tie)
. Wear formal shoes ( well polished)
. Professional haircut
. Clean shave is better
. Answer every question with confidence
. You should aware of current affairs and must have good General knowledge.
You are called for Interview in interview room where an officer Deduct Interview.

After passing Interview, an ISSB form is given to you. So that was all about Intial test.

AIR FORCE

Online application and examination process is same. But following tests are taken in Air Force
. Intelligence test ( Verbal and Non Verbal)
. Physics
. English

After passing this test you are called for Medical examination and Interview

NOTE: Physical test is not taken in Air Force and medical and Interview are taken on the same date.
After medical and Interview you are allowed to leave the selection center. If you pass the interview you are informed through call. After that an ISSB form is given to you.

NAVY

Selection process of Navy is same as that of Army.
. You have to clear initial test that is intelligence and academic
. Medical examination
. Physical test
. Interview
After that you can take ISSB form.
