Aslamamu alaikum everyone. Today I'm going to participate in Steemit Engagement Challenge S14W3 in the Steem4Bloggers community. Where we have been presented with a challenge to provide feedback on Parent's Strict Behavior and Children's Mental Health. Today I will discuss in detail the impact of a parent's strict behavior on a child through this competition.

We all know how important the influence of parent's behavior is on a child. Parents behavior is mirrored in children. So the temperament of a child as he grows up depends on the behavior of his parents. I think parents must be flexible with their children. And if the parents are strict then the child is adversely affected. The advantages and disadvantages of strict parental behavior are presented below:
Advantages of strict behavior : I think the benefits of strict behavior are in one direction. And that is when the child is confused about something or does not want to understand what is good or bad for him properly. Then I the parent should understand the child through strict behavior. Because if the child does something wrong, his parents should understand him and in many cases, the child can be understood through harsh behavior. In doing so, he should be strict with good thoughts of his future.

Disadvantages of strict behavior : Conversely, strict conduct disorder affects the child adversely. But if each parent is raising a child under too much discipline, a child's mental health may suffer. So every parent should do right behavior at right time. Only parents have to be strict in resisting the child's unsolicited demands. Apart from this, the child should be treated with care and flexible behavior. It builds a good relationship between parents and children.

In fact, if I were in the shoes of such children, I would honestly feel bad. Because a parent is the only person a child has. To whom a child can speak his mind without hesitation. And in that place, if friendship has to face harshness in the place of easy behavior, then there is nothing more painful.
To be honest I used to be patient in such a situation. And later on I maintained good relations with my parents rather than going away from them at the right time.

Speaking as a child I think parents have many roles that they need to fulfill in terms of behaviour. Below I present how a parent should behave towards a child:
I expect friendly behavior from my parents at all times.
I wish my parents don't talk loudly to me and talk in quiet voice.
As a child I want my parents to help me with my emotional development.
My parents should calmly explain to me if I make any mistakes. Refraining from unnecessarily angry behavior.
I have seen in many families in emotional blackmailing of their children. This has a really negative impact on their lives leading to various problems in the lives of their children. Emotional blackmailing is being that has a negative impact on either a parent or a child. Of course there are children who emotionally blackmail their parents to get their demands from them. But whether the kids claim is correct or not is inapplicable to them.
On the contrary it is often seen that parents impose their own will on the child and use emotional blackmail. Which has a negative effect on a child's psyche. So we need to have a healthy mindset to engage in parent-child relationships.

First of all best wishes for the contest. This is true that the strict behavior of the parents affects the children's health mentally and they become physically ill. Parents must be friendly with their children's so that they can share their problems with their parents.

You have perfectly said that the behavior of parents reflect in the child. I completely agree with you. That's why we say that in English "Like Father, like Child". I think the strictness of parents are for the right cause and I consider it a teaching.
You have beautifully talked about the pros and cons of strictness here. Strictness give a child a disciplin, but at the same time if it exceed the limit it adversely effect their minds.

Me gusta mucho tu punto de vista sobre este tema tan complicado porque, suele ser incómodo opinar sobre la educación que imparten los padres. Sin embargo, no debemos dejar de lado que, el extremo de ser estricto nunca traerá nada bueno porque, cuando ellos deciden absolutamente todo por los hijos, es casi imposible que estos pequeños más adelante sepan tomar sus propias decisiones.

Los padres tienen un rol muy importante con sus hijos, ellos son los primeros que les enseñan cosas a ellos y lo que se espera es que cumplan ese rol bien, cada padre fría a su hijo diferente y le enseña cosas distintas, claro que lo que lo ideal es enseñarle cosas buenas y principios a tu hijo. Muchos padres piensan que siendo estrictos ayudan a sus hijos, y aunque tengan algo de razón no es completamente cierto, ya que un niño necesita carácter pero también libertad, y es recomendable que los padres encuentren un punto medio.
