A principal plays a vital role in a school community. A principal acts as the leader of a school and as the face of the school. His responsibilities range widely, including school academic improvement, student behavior, teacher development, and community outreach.

Hello friends, I hope you are all well. A principal can bring academic progress as well as fame and reputation to a school by performing his important duties properly. Through today's contest, I will share with you what I would do for the growth of my school if I were a principal.

What would you do for the growth of your school in academics?

In order to improve my school in academics, I must understand the perspectives of teachers and students and take effective initiatives.

Set High academic standards and support teachers

First of all, I will set high academic standards and support teachers everywhere in that regard. I will set challenging academic goals for students and teachers and communicate my expectations to the entire school community. In this regard, I will provide opportunities for professional development to all the teachers at my school. I will help the teachers improve their teaching skills and best practices according to the current education system.

Monitor Student Progress & Technology Integration

Secondly, I will constantly monitor the progress of the students and identify the weak and strong students through the data to determine whether they need any additional support. By collecting the progress-based data of the students of all classes, academy programs and initiatives will be taken through which can meet the needs of the students. Moreover, in each class, I will try to create a good learning environment for students through technology integration. In this case, I will provide training to teachers so that they can effectively integrate technology into their lessons.

Culture of learning & Engage with Families

Third: I will promote the love of learning among the students at my school. I will try to bring out from the students the subjects in which they have an interest. I will inspire students to take ownership of their own learning. I will communicate with students' families on a regular basis. so that they can be informed about the progress of their children's studies. Moreover, I will provide the guardians with all the resources through which they can bring success to their children's academic lessons at home.

What tips would you give to the teachers regarding the maintenance of descipline?

Maintaining discipline with students is a very challenging task for teachers. But as a principal, the tips I would give my school's teachers for maintaining discipline are:

• Establish clear rules and expectations: As the school year begins, teacher will asked students to set clear goals about their expectations and outcomes. And in fulfilling these goals, teachers will give all possible support to the students. Discipline in the classroom should be maintained by rewarding and praising students for small and large achievements, which will encourage this positive behavior to continue.

• Addressing Misbehavior: Students who misbehave in class: when a student reacts, I will ask them to directly and promptly address the reason behind their reaction and take action them if necessary. By continuing this, it will be important for students in the classroom to follow all the rules to maintain discipline.

• Building Positive Relationship: I will ask to reduce misbehavior in the classroom by building positive relationships with students and teaching discipline rules. Encourage students to work cooperatively with everyone and build positive relationships with them by appreciating and rewarding their task.

• Be Proactive: The most important thing to stay discipline is to stay proactive. That is why teachers must plan challenging and interesting lessons. In addition, teachers should be observed to address any unusual student behavior and suppress it before it escalates.

Do you think sports should be promoted at school level? What would you want to do to encourage the sports boys/girls in your school?

Yes, of course, I think sports should be promoted at the school level. Sports will have a positive impact on the physical, mental, and social well-being of students. So I will provide sports facilities and all kinds of equipment to both boys and the girls to encourage them towards sports.

For that, I will organize various sports programs in the school. where a different range of sports will be organized so that students can participate in programs according to their ability and interest. Besides, I will organize traditional sports such as football and cricket, as well as Non-traditional sports such as roller skating and circus classes. Prizes will be given to the students based on their performance to continue the trend of sports.

To all the teachers: interact with the students in all kinds of sports as coaches and influencers. I will pay special attention to student athletes and provide them with all kinds of resources and support so that they can succeed on and off the field. Moreover, I will partner with local sports clubs so that students get additional opportunities for sports activities. I will always check all the equipment that will be kept in the school to make sure it is in good condition and updated.

I will build positive relationships with students and provide a comfortable physical environment in class to create a good learning environment. I will ensure that the classrooms for students are well-lit and comfortable, and all types of equipment are in good condition. Encourage all students to participate in class discussions and work on hands-on projects so that they can engage with the learning process.

I will try to build a positive relationship between students and teachers so that students can easily get help from teachers in any subject. Encourage them to self-learn and set their own goals. Along with that, I will track their progress, and by reflecting on their strengths, I will show them the areas that need improvement. It will create a learning environment through a positive relationship between teacher and students.

The principal of my high school was Gautam Roy. He was an ideal teacher as well as a very intelligent person. While in school, I have seen him take effective initiatives for the academic progress of students and succeed in them.

Especially when he used to take special care of the candidates before matriculation examinations and arrange extra classes. As a result, our school was among the top ten in the entire district. For this, he was awarded at the upazila level. Respect and love will always remain for him.
