Today Im going to share my favourite song
"Aaj Bhi Mere Khayalon Ki Tapish Zinda Hai" written by the Pakistani poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz.

آج بھی میرے خیالوں کی تپش زندہ ہے
میرے گفتار کی دیرینہ روش زندہ ہے
آج بھی ظلم کے ناپاک رواجوں کے خلاف
میرے سینے میں بغاوت کی خلش زندہ ہے

. Here's the English translation of the poem:

"Today, too, the burning of my thoughts is alive
The ancient tradition of my speech is alive
Today, too, the restlessness of rebellion against
The unholy traditions of tyranny is alive in my heart

I am a rebel against tyranny, oppression, and exploitation
I am a rebel for the power of humanity's creation."

The poem expresses the poet's continued passion for social justice and his determination to resist oppression and tyranny.

جہل پروردہ یہ قدریں یہ نرالے قانون
ظلم-و-عدوان کی ٹکسال میں ڈھالے قانون
تشنگی نفس کے جزبوں کی بجھانے کے لئے
نو انساں کے بنائے ہوئے کالے قانون

This is a stanza from the poem "Qalm" written by Faiz Ahmed Faiz. Here's the English translation of the stanza:

"Ignorant nurtured, these laws, this abnormality,
Laws that shield tyranny and aggression.
Black laws that were made to quench the thirst
Of the emotions of a new being."

The poem "Qalm" is one of Faiz's most powerful and influential works.
