Tell us about the telecommunication system of your country. (Cameroon)🇨🇲

To begin with, I will like to first of all give a definition of Telecommunication.
Telecommunications is also known as telecom, and it can be defined as the transfering and receiving of information over large distances. It is very broad and includes various sectors, but the basic concept includes a transmitter and a receiver. The medium through which signal can be transferred is via various means such as optical fiber, electromagnetic fields, light, cable, and many more.

In my country, the telecommunications system is centralised and is solely managed by the government. This means that the system policies and supplies are b controlled by the government. The government owns it's own telecommunications company which is in charge of the overall guidelines. This company is called CAMTELwhich is an acronym that stands for. Cameroon Telecommunications.

How many internet networks are working in your area?

Okay , in my country we have four networks currently operational namely:

1. CAMTEL network
2. MTN network

Your favorite internet service provider network?

Okay my favorite internet service provider network is the MTN network. This is because it has affordable data plans and bundles. Though when it comes to internet speed it is not really the best compared to CAMTEL, but I prefer to use it because it is easier to get a Sim, and also to recharge airtime.

Are you satisfied with the internet speed and services in your area or there could be improvements?

I will not really say that I'm satisfied with the internet speed in my country because I believe more could be done to improve it's speed. The internet speed is not bad but more needs to be done because there usually is some interruption due to optical fiber failure. So if more can be done to solve that issue then it'll will be better.
