Quantum computers, crypto currency, 5G technology, green hydrogen, and artificial intelligence are examples of technologies that are developing rapidly today as we know. This content analyses the most significant developments in technology that occurred during the year before taking a glimpse at which may be expected for 2024. The development of “Quantum Computing” is probably the innovation I found most compelling in 2023. These cannot be soluble by the quantum computers. Quantum computers are still at an embryonic stage; although companies such as Google and IBM have progressed in it, quantum computing has the ability to overturn many areas of service ranging from drug production to encryption.

​Is there an impact on society? And tell the possible advantages of this technological advancement.

This advancement carries a broad societal impact. Due to improved computational power, data analysis will be faster and this will give rise to new developments in many domains. For example, it can help in speeding up of new drug development in health care field among others. However, quantum computing could be equally important in combating global warming.

If you could venture into a technological advance (medicine, entertainment, daily life, artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies), what would that area be and why?

My area of interest in the event that I delve into the technology is ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI). The reason is simple: How ai is transforming how we live and work. We have smart homes that predict our needs, as well as ai assistants like Siri who respond to questions and accomplish tasks. In 2023, the utilization of generative AI (gen AI) tools surged significantly, expanding to one-third of companies that used gen AI at least once a year in at least one business function. As a result, developers and knowledge workers have experienced improved productivity.

Finally, what do you expect the year 2024 to be like in terms of technological advances and news?

However, 2024 is going to be an interesting year in terms of technology. I predict more progress on AI especially in the area of natural language processing. Such will give chance for more advanced digital assistants that can take user’s questions and respond promptly and perfectly.

As for me, technological advancement happens very fast, which affects all aspects of everyday life. On the edge of 2024, let’s accept and assimilate these changes which are beneficial to us.
