"Steemit Engagement Challenge | S14W3 | Parent's Strict Behavior and Children's Mental Health"

in Steem4Bloggers9 months ago

I'm very excited to participate in the contest 'Behavior and Children's Mental Health' as this is my fourth post in Steem4Bloggers community. As per the rules of the contest I request my friends @ikwal @viajarparasanar @walictd also to perticipate.

🙍 What are the advantages and disadvantages of parents strict behaviour?

In psychology, strict parents are defined as parents who place high demands and standards on their children. They can be authoritarian or authoritative, depending on the parents' disciplinary responsiveness and beliefs to their child's needs.

Children with authoritarian parents have the most conduct problems. They demonstrate more hyperactivity, aggression, defiant behavior, and antisocial behavior. They also show fewer prosocial behaviors and have more emotional problems.

In conclusion, strict parenting can have both negative and positive effects on a child's development and growth.

Strict with authoritative style of parenting produces best outcomes in children while strict and authoritarian style of parenting produces adverse outcomes.

🙍 What do you feel if you were at the place of such childrens who have to face strictness?

The moment I realise certain undesirable rules which are imposed on me, I will straight forward discuss with my parents the reasons about such rules. If I'm not convinced I'll try to convince some compromised rules for a win win situation.

I'll sholder some responsibilities of family to establish that I'm grown up and matured and they need not to be bothered for undesirable rules.

🙍 As a child, what do you expect from your parents regarding their behavior?

Most parents make rules in the best interest of their children, but sometimes they go a little exaggerated. They should not set too many rules. In order to make the discipline effective it need to have a set limits on children. It’s important to be loving with their child. Children should be allowed some time to pursue their own passion. It is good to encourage children to be active in sports or hobbies they like. Children shall not be constantly criticised. Parents should be supportive for any shortcomings instead of punishment. Children expect more fun at home than elsewhere.

🙍 What are the negative effects of emotional blackmailing?

Emotional blackmail in relationships is a form of abuse that can force us to live in a constant state of fear and guilt, leading to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, lack of integrity and identity, and difficulty connecting with other people.

Emotional blackmail can affect a child's emotional development and finding it difficult to make and maintain healthy relationships later in life.

Hello friend greetings to you, hope you are having good time there.

Strict parents in psychology are those who have a high demand from their kids. Especially they want to be good at education. It has both valid pros and cons. As you have said that children grown under extreme strictness, lack the abilities of expression and boldness. He can't express his views clearly and openly.

Ofcourse strictness with in the limit is not a problem at all, but when exceed the limit, here ut can create problems.

I wish you very best of luck in the contest, keep blessing.

Thank you for visiting my post and supportive comment.
