Every parent definitely wants to give the best to their children in everything. Both in education and in providing love for the future. Parents will do various things so that their children get the best in life. The methods used by each parent are of course different but still have the same goal, namely for good. The methods used by these parents have their respective advantages and perhaps disadvantages. This really depends on how each child responds.

There are people who have a very firm attitude in educating. However, it is not uncommon for parents' behavior to be gentle in providing learning to their children. Parents' firm behavior is a form of learning that has advantages. With parental firmness, children will become disciplined and not easily give up on various conditions they will face in the future. Firm behavior from parents will give them experience so that children can maintain study time, be disciplined, be honest and be obedient in worship.

Apart from having many advantages, assertive behavior also has disadvantages which can make children traumatized. A lack of firm behavior, especially using words or shouting, certainly has a big impact on children. Forcing children to always study all the time without playing makes children feel very stressed. Apart from stress, children will also feel a burden that makes them mentally unwell, so they feel sad, especially if they receive harsh words. So there are times when parents behave firmly and sometimes they also need to be gentle in educating their children.

However, the most important thing is to note that forming a child's character does not always have to be through firm behavior. In this case, we must also involve children to find out what they really want. On the one hand, parents' firm behavior is really needed, especially in the current very worrying conditions. The influence of the environment and children's interactions with the current of modernization is a concern for every parent. They are still vulnerable to influences and ways of socializing.

If assertive behavior can have a positive impact on children, I think that is very good and needs to be continued. However, imposing one's will by acting firmly and harshly can bring disaster to every parent and especially children, of course this needs to be taken into consideration. Thank God, since I was little, I received a very good education from my parents. This has made me a successful person to this day.

Everything that I have today is the result of the teaching and firm attitude of my parents who educated me since childhood. I am very grateful to have parents who always provide the best education for me even though my parents' condition at that time was very worrying. Even though sometimes my parents are strict and tend to be harsh, I never blame them. In fact, this firm and tough attitude has made me more disciplined and have better character.

The negative impact of emotional blackmail is that a child does not believe in himself, is depressed about something, has difficulty concentrating while studying, cannot make the right decisions and many other negative things. Another negative impact is the loss of a child's trust in their parents' leadership in any matter. Policies and coercion of will are not the right choice in developing the characteristics of children who are still unstable and need moral support. So, be wise in controlling excessive emotions. Hopefully we can become wise parents towards a happy family.
