Biology

The term "Biology" is gotten from two latin words "Bio" meaning "life" and "logy" meaning "study" therefore Biology is the study of life. It can also be defined as a natural science with a very large field but has various collaborating themes that tie it together as a single, coherent field. For example, all living organisms are made up of cells that process hereditary information encoded in genes, which can be transmitted to future generations.

Biology is important because it helps us to understand the living world and the function, evolvement and interaction of many species (including human). Advances in medicine, agriculture, biotechnology, etc and many other areas of biology have brought improvements in the quality of life and still establishing more changes round the globe.

Aristotle is called the Father of biology, He was a great Greek philosopher and polymath. He has a theory of biology also known as the “Aristotle's biology” which literally describes it as the five major biological processes, which are, metabolism, information processing, inheritance, embryo genesis and temperature. The term biology was given by Lamarck and Treviranus.

Why I Have Biology As My Favourite Subject

Ever since i entered the science class, i have found biology more interesting followed by Chemistry. Every other subjects in science interests me but biology is the most captivating.
There is a lot to be taught there, and my most interesting topic is "Reproduction". This particular subject mainly have the root of my career prospect which is to study "Nursing" and become one.

And i believe there are most of us that also like this subject biology as i do. This is indeed a very interesting subject, as it also has to do with the study of organisms, behavioural traits, and many other study relations.

CONCLUSION:

Great contest indeed, getting to share about our best subject here in this platform, seem very interesting as we all will get to know ourselves even more better. Platform like this are meant for socialization and here through this contest, it is exposing us to ourselves.
