What is the name of your country's national sport? Describe the game.

As we know, the sports play a vital role in our lives because they keep us healthy, fit both physically and mentally. As when we play any of physical game in the ground, almost every part of our body takes an active part in it and remain fit. So every country in the world, has a national sport which played in the whole country and also on domestic and international level. If we talk about my country Pakistan, in Pakistan different types of sports are played throughout the whole country.

These sport are the cricket, hockey, kabbadi, badminton and football etc. But among all of them, the hockey is the national sports of Pakistan but the most played sports in Pakistan is cricket because whenever you will go towards the countryside or in the parks, you will see a large number of people playing cricket. Anyway, the hockey is also played in the whole country and the team of Pakistan's hockey is famous in whole world because of their significant achievements.

Hockey is played among two teams consists of eleven players which are divided on the basis of their position such as, forward, midfield, defending and goalkeeping positions. Each of that player holds a hockey and runs against the ball to score a goal for their team and in the goal nets, a goalkeeper try to resist the goal from opponent teams. But the team with more goals wins the match within the given period of time.

Actually, my favorite sports is cricket and I have a great love for it. So due to that reason, I like hockey a little bit. Also since the past few years, the hockey team of Pakistan is getting worse due to poor planning of management, lack of funds and many other reasons. In this regard, we can say that a few people are left in Pakistan who are a fan of hockey, love watching and playing it in the grounds. Incase of me, I have never watched a hockey game even on TV and within the stadium.

But I never miss a cricket match as I love it very much. Besides all these things, I think that the hockey is a difficult game as compared to cricket because in hockey, all of the eleven players runs against one ball to hit a goal which is a very difficult task. On the other hand in cricket, one player, comes to the crease, score runs and then gets out by the bowler which seems me very interesting.

As in the above section, I have discussed that I have never played hockey so I don't have any memory related to it. But I have played and watched cricket many times with my friends. I like cricket since my childhood as when I was in school, I used to play cricket with my classmate. We used to divide our classmates in two teams and started playing against each other after the end of school time. That was the most amazing days of my school life and my childhood as they were filled a lot of joy and happiness.
