The inclusion of textile elements, such as curtains, tablecloths, rugs and pillows, which is what we are going to do in this case, are also a fundamental part of interior decoration.

Today I am going to show you how I made a mini pillow or cushion to put on my bed, with scraps of fabrics and felt that I had at home.

These are the materials:

Scissor
Beige fabric patch
Woven or lace fabric
Brown felt
Cotton

Step 1

We start by cutting the felt since it is whole and we must separate it into two pieces.

We take the other piece of fabric that we have, the beige one, and cut out a rectangle, trying as much as possible to make it straight. You can use a tape measure to measure, in this case I did it by calculating the size I wanted. We are going to use this rectangle to decorate our cushion.

Step 3

Now we are going to cut the part of the hem from the woven fabric, to obtain a long strip like the one we see in the first image on the right. Next, with another piece of the same woven fabric we are going to cut a rectangle that we are also going to use later to decorate our cushion.

Step 4

After we have all our pieces cut out, we begin to assemble by placing the pieces on top of the cushion to have a clear idea of ​​what we want and where we are going to place each piece when sewing. It goes without saying that this is according to the taste of each person.

Step 5

Once we have the idea of ​​how it will look, we can start to sew one of the pieces, we will use the woven fabric strip to place it around the cushion to make it look a little more attractive and we will close our cushion leaving a hole where we can introduce the cotton padding.

Step 6

When we have already cooked everything, through the hole we leave, we will introduce cotton until the cushion is completely filled, after that we will take a needle and son and carefully sew the hole so that the cotton does not come out. and we have already finished our beautiful accent cushion.

This type of decoration is of the utmost importance to maintain our spaces with elegance and subtlety, and the best of all is that with a few simple scraps of fabrics we can make very beautiful things.
