CONTEST: making an art with thread and my poetry about childlike qualities
Hello dear friends, greetings to all of you creative ones. Today I make my participation in the contest hosted by @cindycam about art with thread and poetry.
POETRY: Childlike qualities
What more beauty can be more than this?
What more humility can we come to see?
The children are the future generation
Filled with love and unity, they do not seek only their own interest
What can be greater than the love of children
Their unity cannot be compared to anything
No wonder we are told to imitate the young children
They are like walls that can never be broken
They settle all disputes with love and their unity knows no bounds
What do we learn from these young little ones..?
Yes, love and lots of love
They cherish dignity and put the needs of others ahead of theirs
They love to love and the love to unite....this quality is far much better than many gold and silver
Oh how I wish the world will possess these childlike qualities!
Surely the world would be a much better place to be
Peace and unity will be our song everyday
...................May It be so...................
Process of art
Below I will show you the process I took in making the art using the wool thread.
Below you can see the end product of my work, where I used the wool thread to form a male and female child.
I made the girl art first.
The first thing I did was to get the wool ready to be used...I used the wool we had at home already to do it..:
Next I folded the wool up to 200 times around my arm as you can see in the image below:
After wrapping it around my hand, I carefully removed it and tied up the top part to form the head of the girl. After tying it I cut the edge below with the scissors ✂️:
Next I took out two part from the sides so that I can form the hand of the girl by pleating them.
I pleated both sides to form both hands, after that I tied the edges with black threads and it appears like below:
There I was done with making the girl, I took the same process to make the boy but with a little twist.
I rolled the black wool round my hand for 150 times just like the first one...
After wrapping it, I got it out from my hand and tied the upper part like I did for the first one. And then I cut the lower part with the scissors...
After that, I separated two parts from the sides to form the arms. I will pleat them like I did for the first one:
Since I wanted to make it into a boy child, I had to do something different from the first one. I took a yellow thread and tied below the he'd to form a waistline:
Then I separated the lower part into two so that I can pleat that part too. To make it look like he is wearing pants. I also used a yellow thread to tied the edges of the leg part and there he was ready. Just to trim off some unwanted parts were remaining:
After making both characters, I got a plain white sheet and placed them there.
I then made the drawing of two love shapes and carved them out. I also painted them red as you will be able to see in the images below:
After carving out, and coloring the shaped red. I placed the.on the white sheet where the characters were:
After this step, I thought of why to do to add beautiful to it because I felt it looked very plain. I then remembered that we had a decorative trimming that shreds it's golden color. I took advantage of it's nature and used the pieces to beautify artwork.
Below you will be able to see the design I used.
After shredding the golden, I poured them on the paper where the artworks were and it looked even more beautiful.
That was were I stopped with the the artwork today. I felt happy with how it turned out although not so perfect but I liked it do much
It's amazing how this was formed using the wool thread, I thank God for giving me wisdom to form the poetry as well.
After taking all of those steps to create the artwork, I remembered to take selfies with the finished product. It's good that I remembered to take this selfie because most times I tend to forget it 😏.
