Get to know the Steemit interface

Introduction

Steemit is a social network that works on the blockchain as a decentralized platform and in its complete ecosystem it makes the difference with other social networks, it is distinguished in its own interface and methods for the exchange of information, with a unique way of doing that the user feels comfortable to relate and understand easily from the first visual impression, to go further, to understand what each displayed menu offers.

Steemit's interface is user-friendly, making it very easy to use. It is also compatible with mobile devices where you can use it comfortably.

Main screen

The Main Screen is composed of several sections, we will define it below:

Main menu

The main menu is made up of the Steemit logo on the left side, and on the right side is the Search Engine, Login button, Register button, Create New Post and a right side menu.

Search engine: Here you can write a keyword to search on Steemit.
Login: Clicking here will open a window where you will be asked for the credentials to start the session.

Register: The registration button will redirect you to a new window to register in Steemit. You can see the guide on how to register here.

Create Post: In the circular button with a pencil inside, you can create a new post.

The first field we will write the Title of our publication.

Below is the text field which is where we will write our post, this field is compatible with some HTML and Markdown codes.

Then there is the tags field. Here we will insert relevant tags to the information of your publication, each of the tags must be separate.

Next, we find the advanced settings. Here we can configure the rewards of our post and even insert user accounts to be benefited with the rewards of the post.

Right side Menu: User support options are shown here. If you are a new user, we recommend that you visit the Welcome option in the menu.

Posts

When we enter Steemit, the list of publications ordered by Trending is in the center of the screen. This can be changed using the drop-down list in the upper right hand side.

It is available to sort by Trending, New, Payments or Muted.

Trend: It is ordered according to the value obtained in the publication through a positive vote.
New: It is ordered according to the date of the publications from the newest to the oldest.
Payments: These are the posts that are about to expire and have a great value.
Muted: These are the posts that do not meet the platform's requirements or have committed a crime, being silenced so as not to be visible in the communities.

Section 'New to Steemit?'

On the right side there is a guide created by the Steemit team for NewComers, when accessing, the user can learn the operation and the existing possibilities in steemit, starting from this welcome you will address part of the acquisition of learning that will help to evolve as you deepen.

Once enough information has been collected through the newcomer guide, the user can continue browsing on the home screen.

Coin Marketplace

Under, the 'New to Steemit?', there is the Coin Marketplace section which is where the value of the main market currencies is displayed, including STEEM, SBD and TRX.

Announcement

The top left side of the main screen shows the relevant or featured ads section on Steemit. Here are important links to help you find your way around and navigate the platform.

It is important to read the posts shown in this section to be updated with the latest news from the platform.

Communities

Below the Announcement section, you will find the All Tags section. Here are those communities that are trending on Steemit. You can click on 'show more topics' and then the list of communities will appear within Steemit. Choose a topic of interest and join by clicking Subscribe.

They are in the lower left part of our main screen and there are around one hundred (100) communities of interest to the current date.

You can use the search engine to find a community or use the filter to sort communities by Rank, Subscribers, or New.

Screen - User Profile

The profile screen consists of a cover page with information about the account in the central part. Below this is a menu where we will define it below:

Blog: It shows the posts that you have resteemd in your account.
Posts: It shows all the published posts, ordered by date from the most recent to the oldest. There is also the Comments button, which shows the last comments made from the account and the Payments button that shows the posts that are about to expire.
Responses: It shows the comments that have been made to you in your publications.
Communities: The list of communities you have joined is displayed.
Notifications: Your account activity is displayed, such as mentions, comments, resteems, follows and upvotes.
Wallet: Your account balance is shown in STEEM, Steem Power, Steem Dollar and TRX. This section will be defined in a more complete guide.
Configuration: Here you can add a cover to your blog, change the profile image, change the name displayed, write a small review, your location and also insert a website.
