Parsley- This shrub is Guizotia abicinika in Latin; Karla Ramtil in Marathi, Khurasani; Ramtal in Gujarat; Kandy-Gurelu; Hindi-Jagani etc. are the names. In Gujarat in Mumbai area, there is not much karla. It happens a little bit in Panchmahal district. Occurs everywhere in the country and in Karnataka. But this crop is important in Nashik and Bijapur districts. In Konkan and Maval, it is mostly sown in barren lands and in Central Provinces and Telangana in hilly areas.

These crops grow well in light, humus rich soils. Carrots are sometimes sown separately and sometimes mixed with millets. Mixed seedlings weigh one pound per acre and individual seedlings weigh four to six pounds. Bean pabharine peritat. The distance between the lines is about one foot. The crop is ready in November-December. Seeds are formed by sticking sticks. The yield per acre is 400 to 500 pounds per acre and the mixed crop yield is 50 to 75 pounds per acre. In Karnataka, these crops are often planted in light soils like linen for green manure. Its oil is useful in cooking. The powder is useful for cattle to eat and fertilize.
