"Going to The Sun Road"

The "Going to The Sun Road" is one of the most iconic scenic roadways in the Unites States. It is the only road in Glacier National Park that connects the east and west sides of the park. The road is approximately 50 miles long and crosses the Continental Divide through Logan Pass. Logan Pass is the highest point on the "Going to The Sun Road" at an elevation of 6,646'. The road can accumulate over 80 feet of snow at the pass, and takes a team of snowplows approximately 10 weeks to clear the road each spring.
