Bass Head Harbor Lighthouse

This lighthouse perched on a rocky cliff at the mouth of Bass Harbor. This brick lighthouse was built on a stone foundation and stands 56 feet high. The United states government appropriated $5,000 for its construction back in 1858. This is one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world.
