MOM'S MAYANA PLANTS

It is very nice to see those beautiful colorful plants in our home. My mother is a certified plantita and she has a lot of variety of plants in our home and one is this what we called Mayana.

Mayana is similar to malunggay, but its leaves are thicker and have a reddish-violet tint. On Panay Island, this is referred to as "lapunaya."

This medicine can also be used to treat wounds, weak lungs, colds/allergies, and other diseases.Unbeknownst to many of us who favor traditional/conventional medicine over herbal therapy, our country is awash with a variety of herb plants that have potent healing elements that may treat the human body.
All we have to do now is recognize their potential and put these natural resources to good use.
