Photography Today - Dakada

That's a sculptural work of a hand with five fingers up. That sign represents a lot to the people of Uyo and Akwa Ibom as a whole.

The description 'Dakada' in between the fingers means rise up/wake up. It is a call to all the youths to wake up from their slumber and take advantage of their youthful life and do something productive.

The sculptural work was mounted at the center of roundabout linking to different places.
