Aceh Red Cempaka Stone is a Chalcedony type rock and some of its types were found to contain Carnelian although not all of it and this is known based on the results of Laboratory Tests.

It is said that the best type of Aceh Merah Cempaka stone comes from the Panga area, a sub-district in Aceh Jaya Regency. The Red Cempaka Stone has similarities to the Red Rafflesia stone in Bengkulu and also the Red Baron in Pacitan, East Java- Indonesia.
