The genus Serrata (scientific name: Monotropastrum Andres) belongs to the Rhododendron family and the subfamily Crystal Orchid (APG IV system).

There are two species in the genus, all of which are saprophytic plants. Distributed in eastern and southern Asia.

The corresponding Latin name of "Shajinglan" in Flora of China is Eremotropa, which was later revised by Flora of China and is a synonym for Monotropastrum (the taxa introduced in this entry).

沙晶兰属（学名：Monotropastrum Andres ）

隶属于杜鹃花科、水晶兰亚科（APG IV系统） ，全属共2种，皆为腐生植物。

分布于亚洲东部与南部。

“沙晶兰属”在中国植物志中对应的拉丁文名为Eremotropa，后经Flora of China修订，并为Monotropastrum属（即本词条所介绍的类群）的异名。
