Mimosa Pudica, popularly called touch and die in my locality, belongs to legume family of Fabaceae. Others call it sleepy or shame plant. This flowering plants is so sensitive that any action on it cause it to react by folding inward and then the leaves drop immediately. But within few minutes, it opens it's leaves back to life.
It originates from the Caribbean, South and Central America. It grows in a low nutrient soil and produce pink flowers. It can also be found in other parts of the world, like Africa.
