Feral Cats

This is a picture of a stray cat in my village. This cat is so wild, no one can hold it. But I don't understand why this cat doesn't run wild with me and this cat makes me want to and he's now my pet cat at home.
Do you know why I can keep this wild cat? His answer was that I stroked and always fed all the feral cats and I never beat and tortured feral cats.
