It can really be a lot of fun, but it's not for everyone. What does come to mind is that diecast collecting is just for those with a sense of personal-need. Uniqueness is a strong motivation as collectors. There are some diecast collectors that are content with purchasing their favorite models truck and not doing anything further but there is an entire hobby dedicated to customizing these models.
Yes. For me collecting diecast also for enjoying taking photos of it. Usually, if I go to somewhere, I bring some diecast as object photography.
