Yesterday SpaceX conducted the first static fire test of the Starship S25 second stage prototype at Starbase in Texas.
During the tests, six Raptor engines successfully worked for five seconds.
Starship S25 will be used in conjunction with the Super Heavy B9 first stage for the system's second attempt to reach Earth orbit, with a launch date yet to be determined.
The first attempt of the first stage and the Starship to reach space took place on April 20, 2023 and started successfully.
However, several engines turned off and the stages did not separate, after which the system exploded, reaching a maximum height of 39 kilometers.
