If you thought the AI advances were sci-fi enough, think again.

Neuralink tweeted that the FDA has given it permission to test its implantable brain-computer interfaces on humans.

However, at the moment I’m writing this entry, there was no information on approval on the FDA website.

The company also reports that it will soon begin recruiting volunteers for clinical trials.

A year ago, the FDA did not allow Elon Musk's company to conduct human clinical trials "due to serious safety issues related to the device's lithium battery, the movement of the implant wires, and the procedure for removing the device."

At the same time, many scientists continue to criticize Neuralink for being unsubstantiated and cruelty to animals during preclinical studies.

Would you consider using one of them in the future?
