Water is an important source of life. When a region experiences a water crisis, it is possible that the region will face other life problems. The threat of hunger, disease, death and crime is very possible there. Just imagine, when the water crisis hit India. A country with a population of 1.4 billion people or more than 17% of the world's population. What will happen to the world in the future?

One of the causes of water scarcity in India is because the water pipe technology system has not yet reached all residents' homes. To get water for household needs, Indian women are forced to transport water from far away places to their homes. This is an issue that deserves the attention of stakeholders. The UN and other world bodies may need to intervene to provide assistance to deal with this crisis.

One of the villages experiencing water crisis is Kerawadi, which is 190 Km from Mumbai. The people there can buy water by transporting it by car, but not for the poor. The poor need to carry water with their heads. Can you imagine what those who have no money go through?

This crisis is exacerbated because the local government has not been able to build water connections to its citizens. Does their local government not have sufficient budget to build water connection for their population? India actually has a river that may be used as a source of water, but it seems that it has not been managed properly.

What will happen to the world in the future?

One of the world's challenges in the future is climate change. The impact of climatology will cause various crises that may be unpredictable. This condition is exacerbated by the unfinished Covid-19 crisis, plus the Russia-Ukraine war which is not yet known when it will end. It could be that many of the world's population will experience hunger, death and disease. Currently, many countries are experiencing a financial crisis. Even big countries like America also experience inflation. Currently the future of the world is on the verge of crisis. What can we do to help the people of the world?

Wow this is a serious topic. Some years ago Cape Town was very close to running out of water. I hope nothing similar happens to India.

Water will always be an important issue for human life.

I think stakeholders such as the UN and other world bodies should pay more attention to this issue
