I always feel like, someone's watching me - lightpainting circuit boards again

I could have made this an article about Hauwei and it's trust issue with western governments but I'll just stick to the lightpainting....

This shot was created in one photographic exposure and required four light stands, two tripods and two mid exposure lens swaps. Each element was rehearsed before starting the shot; first I worked out the exposure for the eye:

Then I worked out the exposure for the board with two gelled flashguns:

Then I worked out the best timings for the zoom pull. The blue light is from a flashlight located behind the circuit board:

Once happy with all the elements I pulled it altogether in one photographic exposure. The total exposure time for the shot was 131 seconds although all the elements and lining up probably took about 30 minutes of messing about tripping in the dark over light stands and tripods!!

About me: I usually specialise in shooting lightpainting images but occasionally dabble in urbex and artistic model photography. I'm always on the lookout for someone to collaborate with; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to create art.

Thanks Mafu, I bought three more flashguns today for an absolute steal of a price and it would have been rude not to use at least two of them....
