Arrive before you left - camera rotation photography in the dark
Leave me to my own devices in my kitchen with a 12" mannequin, a flashgun and a camera rotation tool and this is what I came up with:
For this shot I used a camera rotation device where the lens is rotated around the lens axis. I used 1/2 power on the flashgun for the "main" mannequin and then reduced the power to approx 1/8th for the subsequent rotations. Using a lower power means the first mannequin doesn't get overwritten on the sensor as I rotate the camera.
As usual this shot was created in one photographic exposure and is not a Photoshop creation.
