Los días 28, 29 y 30 de junio se realizó la V Jornada LASA - Venezuela en la casa Ramos Sucre. Como ese era el mes de Ramos Sucre, y todos los años se realizaba algunas actividades, la casa no quiso dejas pasar esta oportunidad. Así fue como se organizó una lectura de poema de Ramos Sucre, donde participé. También tuve la oportunidad de leer este brevísimo poema que escribí en su homenaje, tratando de imitar su estilo, tratando de ser él. Espero les guste. (No tiene título realmente, así que no hagan caso al título del post).
Yo me había revestido de las memorias lúgubres de la infancia. El fantasma que marchitó mi piel rondaba bajo el claro de la luna. Era tarde y las velas eran inútiles contra la oscuridad. Evoqué su nombre como símbolo de rescate. La veía en la puertacon su velo negro con su firme caminar. Esperaba ver un pequeño destello o sentir un soplo que me elevara, sentir su voz, su mano. Fue un beso tibio, crré los ojos sin más.
On June 28, 29 and 30, the V LASA - Venezuela Conference was held at the Ramos Sucre House. As this was the month of Ramos Sucre, and every year some activities were held, the house did not want to miss this opportunity. That is how they organized a reading of Ramos Sucre's poem, where I participated. I also had the opportunity to read this very short poem that I wrote in his homage, trying to imitate his style, trying to be him. I hope you enjoy it. (It doesn't really have a title, so disregard the title of the post).
I had clothed myself in the mournful memories of childhood. The ghost that withered my skin haunted under the moonlight. It was late afternoon and candles were useless against the darkness. I evoked her name as a symbol of rescue. I could see her at the door with her black veil with her steady walk. I hoped to see a small flash or feel a breath that would lift me up, feel her voice, her hand. It was a lukewarm kiss, and I just crossed my eyes.
