Hello steemit friends all who have visited this post, let's participate in the Steemit Engagement Challenge contest - "SEC-S16-W2 | For birds" organized by the Venezolanos Steem community.

▶️ Intro

In this contest the context organizers provided a video about the story of the bird and his friends, then they asked the participants to explain the moral message and lesson in the video, then explain a similar case that might have happened in real life.

Honestly, this was the first time I watched the cartoon movie, since I was a child I have never watched a cartoon movie like that that contains a lot of moral messages. But after I watched it, there were several lessons and moral messages in the context of friendship. The lessons and moral messages that we can learn from Pixar's animated short film "For the Birds in my opinion are as follows:

1️⃣ Good Neighborhood

There is a term that we often hear such as "Make friends with people selling perfume then we will splash the smell," so also in our lives we must be able to choose a good social environment.

Making friends with good people will make us good, making friends with bad people will make us do evil. Therefore, we must always be connected to a good environment where people in it always try to invite to goodness, people in it always show exemplary behavior, not instead inviting things that can lead to activities that harm others.

2️⃣ Positive culture

If we are in a group that always spreads examples, kindness, and enthusiasm then over time we get used to good behavior.

Stay away from people who always spread negativity because it will not benefit our survival because it will damage and cause bad sides.

One of the best ways in my life to choose friends who have a positive culture is to make friends with those who do not smoke, make friends with those who are diligent in worship, make friends with those who like to help, make friends with those who do not like to say bad things about others.

3️⃣ Accepting differences

In this life we must certainly be able to accept differences, because it is human nature that we must have differences and privileges. In Indonesia there is a symbol of "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" which means different but still united.

In making friends there are our friends who have differences, such as some are taller in posture, or some are fatter, and some are thinner, some are white and some are black. But even though it is different as long as the friend can behave positively then we should continue to be friends with people like that. Differences are not a barrier to friendship.

4️⃣ Putting others down harms ourselves

In making friends never demonize or drop others, because dropping others is the same as dropping ourselves. Often we encounter people who have bad traits such as demonizing others, telling about the badness of others. When in fact the person who tells the story is not necessarily better.

Therefore, if there are people who try to bring us down then be silent because the truth will appear by itself. And people who do bad things will sink by themselves.

▶️ Similar cases in real life

From my four descriptions above, the thing that I really remember and has happened in my life relates to point number 4 about putting others down.

I have experienced this myself in life when I was working, there was a friend of mine who pretended to be sweet when dealing, but in fact he behind deliberately dropped and said bad things about me to my leader.

But at that time the leader immediately denied and did not believe all the information from my friend, my leader at that time said "He has proven his best work and he managed to achieve proof of achievement in the work, the dedication he has given is very helpful for the progress of the office."

So that the enemy in the blanket at that time was silent for a thousand languages, in the end he himself was harmed because the leadership no longer put trust in him. As I said earlier "if there are people who try to bring us down then be silent because the truth will appear by itself. And people who do bad things will sink by themselves."
