The rate at which marriages are getting dissolved or people are divorcing these days is increasing. Which is very bad.
Even though people do take their time to look for a right partner. But still divorces do happen.

I will like to talk about some few causes of divorce these days.

SOME CAUSES OF DIVORCE

• Most couples do get divorced as a result of one of the spouse or couple thinking that he or she has settled for less. Has settled for less here can be interpreted as a case or scenario were by one partner thinks he is doing better than the other partner, it could be financially or any other means. In this case he or she then tries to go settle with someone who the partner thinks is doing better than their previous partner.
  This usually happens when couples are married as a result of one of the couples being materialistic. He or she is materialistic in the sence that they are after the wealth or material possessions of the other couple. So after they are married and the partner who's after the material things doesn't get what he or she is after they then try to dissolve the marriage or divorce.

• One other cause of divorce in today's world is the role or position of the partners in the marriage. These days men and women earn equally at work places. So in the case of a couple or partners, they all feel like they are own their own and can decide to do whatever they want. Also, they wouldn't feel comfortable to be boss around by their partners. Which leads to the marriage not having a leader in it. Lack of leadership in a marriage will definitely lead to a divorce. Because no one is listening to the other.

• Lack of communication in marriages is known to be one of the major causes of divorce.
  Lack of communication here could be that the couple don't bring their problems on board in order for it to be discussed with the partner. But they rather keep it to themselves which when out of hand can lead to a divorce.

EFFECTS OF DIVORCE

• In the case of couples with children, the children are affected by the divorce. The children don't the kind of love and attention they will be receiving from both parents if they are together. One partner can be really mad at the other partner to the extent that the love and care he or she has for the kids starts to wear off.
  Also in the case of the couples living separately, children get stranded on who to live with and sometimes end up being on the street or homeless.

• Mental illness happening to either one of the partners. A partner could be really in love with the other partner, but as a result of one of the causes of divorce they then break up. With this happening, it could render a partner to be harmed mentally.
  Also it could lead to a drinking habit in a partner which renders them be no of good use to the society.

In conclusion, divorces in marriages happens as a result of one of the causes of divorce i stated earlier. Also the rate at which people are getting divorce these days is increasing which is very bad. Partners need to be patient and try to understand one another in order to prevent divorce in their marriages. Because divorces have many effect on the couples and as well as the people around them.
