Hello everyone, this is my first time making a post on the Venezolanos Steem community. Hopefully what I convey through this article is by what is expected by the theme of the contest in the first week, this is my participation post.
I live in Indonesia which is one of the countries with a fairly large area, at least 5 large islands are stretching from Sabang Island in the western region of Indonesia to Marauke in the eastern region of Indonesia. In Total, there are 38 provinces in Indonesia with a population of 270 million people, consisting of 300 ethnic groups that inhabit each province in Indonesia.

Quite a lot of unique traditions or types of celebrations are held in Indonesia based on the customs of each tribe, I can tell you all. But alas, I have never come to see these shows. But one that will be celebrated together in all regions of Indonesia is about the parade or carnival the day after Indonesia's Independence Day is celebrated. Almost all parts of Indonesia celebrate this carnival, including in the area where I live. This Carnival event is held every year, generally carried out one day after Independence Day is held.

The implementation of this carnival is followed by all citizens, especially from various schools and government agencies in the province, district, or city. All people will be very enthusiastic to see the street carnival, as an entertainment that has meaning as a way people love the tradition and the state of Indonesia.

At the event, thousands of people will watch art and cultural performances on the roadside, and the participants of the show are dominated by all students. They will wear traditional clothes from all provinces in Indonesia, complete with other works of art-themed struggle and independence. The national spirit is seen in this Carnival event, with a variety of clothing diversity used by participants of the carnival itself.
As a teacher I also always participate in the Carnival event that we call the August 17th parade, there is satisfaction and pride in following the event. We from the teachers also walked down the streets of the capital with the students, with a variety of uniqueness and joy in celebrating Indonesia's Independence Day.

This event aims as a way to foster love for the Indonesian people through street carnival, the use of traditional clothes from each province during Carnival is a form of learning for the younger generation to know and love the nation and country. With the hope that they all become a great generation in the future, as well as a hope for the realization of the success and pride of all the people of Indonesia.

This carnival event usually starts from early morning until late afternoon, city centers will be filled with people who want to watch the procession of carnival participants. So the series in the implementation of celebrating Indonesia's Independence Day which falls on August 17, is always held a Carnival event or tradition one day after and followed by various circles of society and also participants from among students.
That is one of thousands of unique traditions in Indonesia, although many more amazing traditions are often held in various provinces in Indonesia. Hopefully what I convey is useful for anyone who reads it, even if it's just information or ordinary news.

The August 17th parade which is Carnival event is celebrated in your area. You as a teacher with other teachers and students come down on the streets and celebrate it with others. It really shows the value and respect of such events for you.
