RE: SEC-S16-W4 | My reflection in the mirror
When we grow up a little more, we start feeling neutral in front of the mirror. After a few years, when our figure starts appearing a bit dull in the mirror, and the mirror says so, we ask the mirror, 'Do you like it?
In my experience, as we age, our relationship with the mirror often evolves. We become more accepting of our imperfections and less concerned about meeting societal standards of beauty. We start seeking validation from within rather than from the mirror's reflection.
Well, I and the mirror have been friends since childhood. Like everyone else, I also find it important to look at myself in the mirror. But I never think too much when I look in the mirror.
I feel like the mirror serves as a constant companion throughout our lives, reflecting not only our physical appearance but also our inner thoughts and emotions. It's like a silent confidant, always there to provide a glimpse of ourselves before we step out into the world.
The fogging mirror again revealed that there were dark circles under the eyes, grey hair, and slight wrinkles on the face, but the same smile on my lips.
My observation is that despite the inevitable signs of aging reflected in the mirror, maintaining a positive outlook, symbolized by the enduring smile, is key to embracing the passage of time gracefully. It's a reminder that true beauty emanates from within, transcending mere physical appearance.
Thanks for such lovely feedback. But trust me, whatever the age or whatever the reflection, a positive person never loses his dignity or, most of all, his willingness to do better.
