International No Smoking Day

May 31 was chosen to commemorate the International No Smoking Day, with the purpose of making everyone aware of the risks to which they are subjected as smokers, with many people losing their lives due to this cause. On this day a goal is set for people who are subjected to this vice, to spend 24 hours free of consumption.

I think we all know how harmful it can be for our health to be a smoker but still many people start this habit and find it difficult to give it up over time, and only realize this when the vice begins to take its toll and L health is compromised to deteriorate and cause death.

It is a deadly vice, in fact there is talk of passive smoking, which is nothing more than people who although they do not smoke are next to a smoker, they are potent and harmful that is also as if they smoked directly.

A person who is next to a smoker and breathes that smoke is also prone to suffer cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, so it is important this day for everyone, because we are all exposed, it is necessary that people are informed of the risk they run, taking care of them we also take care of us.

When we all care about this initiative and each one of us contributes a grain of sand that helps us to advance in this matter, we will be taking care of our environment, our health, our economy, and that of our future generations.
