POSSESSING ALL THINGS

Text: “...As poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.” 2 Cor 6:10

Paul was not necessarily someone that had the best car or house in his days. I’m sure too that he was never the highest paid Apostle of his time. Having nothing and possessing all things is a little contradictory statement. You have nothing but at the same time possessing all things. It’s certainly not a logical statement.
“Possessing all things” is never a materialistic approach to life. It’s never a craving to buy every new product in the market. This is not an attitude of greed that seeks to have everything and nothing for others.

The life of a believer does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses. We are rich; not by what we have but by who we are in Christ or if you like who Christ is in us. “Possessing all things” therefore means that we have the capacity to have whatever is consistent with a godly living. We have the capacity to be all we are created to be. Paul said “...Having nothing...Possessing all things”, He was more or less saying we have a purchasing power that is beyond the physical resources.

Don’t ever allow what your bank account is saying to limit what you can do and how far you can go in life. This has to become your way of thinking. If you really understand what we are saying you will understand that lack of fund, lack of human connection should not get you intimidated. In spite of them you will become all you are created to be. This will help us to deal with the “lack mentality”. We have what it takes to fulfil destiny. We may not have all the money at the moment but we have all the grace; the fullness of the grace of Christ is at work in our lives. We may not have all the connections but we have the fullness of the Spirit at work in our lives. The whole world is under our feet. There is no where we cannot go, there is nothing we cannot do that is a part of God’s agenda for our lives.

CONFESSION:
I have the fullness of the Spirit. The grace of God is abundantly available in my life.
