OVERCOMING EVIL PREDICTIONS 2
Text: “Who has spoken and it came to pass, unless the Lord has ordained it?” (BSB). Lam 3:37
It’s vital and crucial for us to be able to differentiate between human prediction and what God has ordained for our lives. Human predictions are usually from authority figures who occupy higher level of influence around us. Their voices must never override the voice of God’s possibilities over our lives. It will be a big error to allow a mortal man with breathe in his nostrils to draw a conclusion on your life.
Authority Figures can include Parents, Teachers, Elder sibling, a boss at work, a spouse, a spiritual leader. It could also be a self-proclaimed evil predictions over yourself.
No mortal man has the right to place a limit on what you can do or become. We respect them but we won’t allow their predictions to control the outcome of our lives. We have every right to accept or reject any predictions over our lives. Even Hezekiah rejected the prediction of death that came from God through the prophet.
WHAT ARE EVIL PREDICTIONS?
Any prediction that is completely contrary to scripture. Something that you are sure does not agree with scriptures.
Whatever is against your peace and wellbeing as designed by God.
Any predictions that makes you fearful, helpless and confused.
If you allow an evil prediction to get hold of you it will control you and become the reality of your life. David just ignored all the evil predictions. He knew there was a higher predictions that supersede every other forms of predictions. Let’s emphasise again that you have every God-given right to reject anything that does not agree with God’s eternal counsels for your life.
PRAYER:
I declare empty and useless every prediction made by authority figures on my life that is contrary to God’s word.
