MAKING MANY RICH
Text: “...As poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.” 2 Cor 6:10
I strongly believe that Paul was not only talking about making people rich financially. That is included but not limited to that. He was talking of something far deeper than that. He was talking more of adding value and meaning to other people’s lives. I love the emphasis of “many”. He was having so much positive influence on the lives of others. Many people were drawing from his wealth of wisdom and revelation.
The same thing should be happening in our lives. We have the capacity of the Holy Spirit inside us to positively influence our sphere of contacts. If someone that has been discouraged with life comes close to you the person should leave your presence encouraged and relieved. A hopeless person should leave you with their hopes restored. The life of a believer is supposed to be a reflection of the life of the indwelling Christ. Christ went everywhere doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil.
This should be the story of your life also. It should be said that you also went everywhere touching lives and transforming destinies.
We are not called to live ordinary lives but rather an extraordinary one. A life that is making a difference everywhere that we go. Let’s close the lesson today with a few thoughts that will help you to function this way:
As a believer you are never in any way disadvantaged. This will help you not to see yourself as a needy person but rather a blessing to people around.
Your life as a believer is an extension of the life of Christ on the earth. Christ walks through us. He speaks through us.
Walking in practical love draws others to you. Be selfless; be open handed to reach out to someone daily.
