Let your Fasting example Love - Show love without Measures...
10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:
11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
It is a great blessing to be among those God has qualified to see the month of April 2020, which also marks the beginning of a new quarter. God has been so faithful to see us through the first three months of this year. Many have did but we have been preserved.
Having enjoyed so much of God's benevolence so far, it is important that we reflect on how well we have related with God even while we received enormous blessings from Him. This should be kept in mind while we celebrate the new month we've seen.
Some persons are accustomed to fast on the first day of each moth to seek the face of God and His guidance for the month. The 58th chapter of Isaiah pictures what true fasting should be and what is expected of believers while they fast.
Believers should not just pride themselves on reciting scripture, attending church regularly, fasting and praying regularly while missing out the fundamental of the faith which is demonstrating love to others especially the needy and underprivileged.
in verse 10 as captured above, we see God point His people to the truth that they should not forget to show love to others and truly be the light which shines for others to see as well as the salt that preserves.
God proclaims great blessings in the following verses that such a Christian shall enjoy:
- Beaming out as light from obscurity,
- Having one's darkness as bright as noonday,
- Receiving sustainable divine guidance,
- Receiving satisfaction even in drought,
- Flourishing like a watered garden,
- Having sustainability in supplies,
- Becoming a builder of waste places,
- Becoming a beacon of hope for many generations.
The primary focus of following God is that of love for this is the reason God gave Christ to reconcile us back to him. We must therefore prioritize to hearken to the divine command of showing love and being a seasoning to humanity.
Take a look back at the past quarter, were you able to live up to the expectation of sharing love? If no, it's not late to make it up in this new quarter.
Sharing love can be done within the confines of the blockchain or off the chain. Reach out and touch lives. Reach out and make people smile, reach out and add value to a live and get ready for a great package of God's blessings.

As the word says, it is not fasting to share bread with the hungry, to love mercy and to practice justice, without a doubt, these are the characteristics of the Christian that Jesus loves.

Am glad reading this, God destined us to be the rebuilder of walls just as Nehemiah and just few have lived up to this dream. @heartchurch has really demonstrated what true fast is about, giving, fighting the course of the weak etc. I use this medium to appreciate them for being an impact and example to all especially to the Christian Faith.
