Do you prefer the applause of God or the applause of the world?
Many times we live always seeking approval from others, seeking to know what their opinions are, we want to receive the applause of some, but what about the applause of God? We care to know what He thinks of what we do or say. Does our way of acting or being adapt to what God wants?
These are questions that we should ask ourselves, to know what we really care about, if we care more about what those around us think, friends or colleagues, then we are tied to the earthly opinion, to what they will say, we constitute ourselves what the bible says friends of the world.
Can a friend of the world please God? Well, I think that if we live according to the standards of this society we will never be able to please God, because this world is very far from being what God wants, simply because they are not subject to his designs or his teachings.
If his word is not put into action, then we cannot say that we please God and if he does not like us it is because we are not interested in his applause.
When God can applaud you?
When you know his word and act according to it, when you put it into action, when you want to know him intimately, when you show mercy and speak truth, when you become that compassionate being and God can act through you.
It is important that you ask yourself that question today and that you answer with all possible sincerity, because if it is not God who is moving you now, you must find a way to change your actions, to turn to Him, to seek Him and above all to please Him.
Believe me that the applause of God is much more beneficial, encouraging and above all enriching.
