Crossing the Sea
17 When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.”

This verse tells me that you are not taking me by the fastest way but the one that you consider necessary for my formation, as I have perceived today.

As you did with your people at that time, you do it with me today, trying not to regret it when I see the confrontations, the opposition and the different circumstances that I must face daily in the world, that is how I understood it today.

So, by giving me this reminder, through the illustration of the people of Israel, you are confronting me with myself by the intensity of my actions and the test of following you along the longest and most difficult path, surrounded by the desert; I have designed it that way today.

In conclusion, in my house, in my work and in the street I will represent walking through the desert and you will be a column of fire and smoke in my daily walk.

Thanks for the reminder Dad.
