Sharing our Faith

Math. 28:19 – 'Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, Baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.'

The disciples were to baptize People because baptism unites believers with Jesus Christ in their death to sin and their resurrection to new life. Baptism Symbolizes submission to Christ, a God’s Willingness to live God’s way, and identification with God's covenant people.

Jesus’ words in Math. 28:19 affirm the reality of the doctrine of the Trinity. Some people either abuse or doubt the Doctrine of the Trinity. As we see here, the Concept Comes Directly from Jesus Himself. He did not say Baptize them in the names, but in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The word Trinity Did Not Occur in Scripture, but it well describes the three- in- one Nature of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit would be Jesus’ presence that would never leave them (John 14:26). Jesus Continues to be with us today through his Spirit, Sharing our Faith; Why? There are at least Six Compelling reasons for Sharing our Faith in Christ with those who have not experienced new life in Christ.

• Because God Has commanded us to do so. The final words of Jesus while on earth (Acts 1:8 -"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”)

• Because it demonstrates our love for God (John 14:15 -15 “If you love me, keep my commands.")

• Because all are lost (Romans 3: 10 ,23 - As it is written:“There is no one righteous, not even one; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,)

• Because our Sharing is God’s Chosen Method to tell all People. He Could Have used Angels (Romans 10: 14-17 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”[a]
  16 But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?”[b] 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.)

• Because God Desires to save all People ( Timothy 2:4 = who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.).
  

  

Because Someone once shared his faith with us, note we can only accomplish these aims through unity. Also let us rally behind the government to fight against the Covid - 19 Pandemic by observing all the needed protocols.
