¿Qué haces con tus errores?

Todos hemos cometido errores, unos más que los demás. Yo he aprendido que lo realmente importante no es tanto el hecho de cometer errores, sino las decisiones que tomamos después de haberlos cometido.

¿Qué lección podemos sacar de ello?
¿Qué tenemos que hacer?
¿A quién tenemos que pedir perdón?
¿Qué cambios debemos realizar?
Esto me hace pensar en Zaqueo. Este hombre era recaudador de impuestos en el período de la ocupación romana de Israel. Además de trabajar para el “enemigo”, Zaqueo hacía pagar más impuestos de los debidos a sus conciudadanos. No se necesita decir que Zaqueo no era apreciado en absoluto por los judíos.

Un día, Jesús atraviesa la ciudad de Jericó y elige la casa de este hombre para albergarse allí. Puedes leer la historia de su encuentro en Lucas 19:2-9.

Zaqueo encuentra a Jesús y toma rápidamente consciencia acerca de la necesidad de un cambio inmediato en su vida. ¡Se compromete a dar la mitad de sus bienes a los pobres y a reembolsar hasta cuatro veces más a los que hizo pagar de más! Jesús le dijo: “Hoy ha venido la salvación a esta casa; por cuanto él también es hijo de Abraham” (Lucas 19:9).

Lo que cuenta no es la cantidad de errores que cometes ni lo que hiciste en el pasado. Lo que cuenta verdaderamente es la medida de amor de Jesús que hay en ti, y Jesús no ha cambiado.

Queridos hermanos, si te vuelves a Él con el deseo de cambiar tu vida y todas tus actitudes incorrectas, Él te recogerá con los brazos abiertos. Te librará de la culpabilidad y de la vergüenza, y te convertirás en una nueva persona, en una fuente de bendición para los demás.

2 Y sucedió que un varón llamado Zaqueo, que era jefe de los publicanos, y rico,
3 procuraba ver quién era Jesús; pero no podía a causa de la multitud, pues era pequeño de estatura.
4 Y corriendo delante, subió a un árbol sicómoro para verle; porque había de pasar por allí.
5 Cuando Jesús llegó a aquel lugar, mirando hacia arriba, le vio, y le dijo: Zaqueo, date prisa, desciende, porque hoy es necesario que pose yo en tu casa.
6 Entonces él descendió aprisa, y le recibió gozoso.
7 Al ver esto, todos murmuraban, diciendo que había entrado a posar con un hombre pecador.
8 Entonces Zaqueo, puesto en pie, dijo al Señor: He aquí, Señor, la mitad de mis bienes doy a los pobres; y si en algo he defraudado a alguno, se lo devuelvo cuadruplicado.
9 Jesús le dijo: Hoy ha venido la salvación a esta casa; por cuanto él también es hijo de Abraham.

What do you do with your mistakes?

We have all made mistakes, some more than others. I have learned that what is really important is not so much the fact of making mistakes, but the decisions we make after we have made them.

What lesson can we draw from it?
What do we have to do?
Who do we have to ask for forgiveness?
What changes should we make?
This makes me think of Zacchaeus. This man was a tax collector in the period of the Roman occupation of Israel. In addition to working for the "enemy," Zacchaeus made his fellow citizens pay more taxes than those owed. It goes without saying that Zacchaeus was not appreciated at all by the Jews.

One day, Jesus goes through the city of Jericho and chooses this man's house to stay there. You can read the story of their encounter in Luke 19: 2-9.

Zacchaeus meets Jesus and quickly becomes aware of the need for an immediate change in his life. He promises to give half of his assets to the poor and to reimburse up to four times as much to those he overpaid! Jesus said to him: “Today salvation has come to this house; because he also is a son of Abraham ”(Luke 19: 9).

It is not how many mistakes you make or what you have done in the past that counts. What really counts is the measure of Jesus' love in you, and Jesus hasn't changed.

Dear brothers, if you turn to Him with the desire to change your life and all your wrong attitudes, He will pick you up with open arms. It will free you from guilt and shame, and you will become a new person, a source of blessing for others.

2 And it came to pass that a man named Zacchaeus, who was chief of the publicans, and rich,
3 he tried to see who Jesus was; but he could not because of the crowd, for he was small in stature.
4 And running ahead, he climbed a sycamore tree to see him; because it had to go through there.
5 When Jesus arrived at that place, looking up, he saw him and said to him: Zacchaeus, hurry up, come down, because today I must stay in your house.
6 So he hurried down and received him joyfully.
7 When they saw this, they all murmured, saying that he had entered to pose with a sinful man.
8 Then Zacchaeus, standing up, said to the Lord: Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have disappointed someone in something, I return it quadrupled.
9 Jesus said to him: Today salvation has come to this house; because he also is a son of Abraham.
