Wounded By Betrayal
There are very deep wounds that some people carry with them and one of them is caused by betrayal, however there are many types of betrayals but one of the most painful is the one caused by those people we once trusted.
Psalm 55
12 For an enemy did not oppose me, Which I would have endured; Nor did he that hate me rise up against me, because I would have hidden myself from him;
13 But you, man, apparently my intimate, My guide, and my family member;
14 That together we gently communicated secrets, And walked in friendship in the house of God.
Sometimes we can be betrayed by someone, but the wound deepens when it has been someone to whom we have opened the doors of our intimacy, someone to whom we entrusted our secrets and who intimately knew our most sincere thoughts and feelings.
When someone who is indifferent to us does something to harm us, it sure affects us because it is something that affects our stability, but if someone we love does it, it causes deep pain in us that sometimes leaves us so badly emotional that it is difficult for us to get up.
When we are wounded by betrayal, we receive a low blow. For we never expect people who we believe to love us to do something that could harm us, and as the psalmist said, when we know that someone does not esteem us, then we are careful before him, however with the who are supposed to be our friends and family, we walk without reservation, so that's when they know our way of thinking and acting and use it to attack us from behind.
However God is good and always has the disposition to heal our losses no matter how deep they are, then it is when He him enters the scene that we can forgive and start over, so that this does not influence future relationships.
